If so this blog post is just for you! Let's face it guys we get off track and distracted very easily. So many things keep us from achieving our fitness goals daily; time, professions, family, health issues, and exhaustion just to name a few.
Here are 5 tips to help you get up off the couch and get moving again:
Tip#1 - Keep it simple - There's nothing worse than overcomplicating your workout and then getting frustrated when you get confused or feel defeated. So keep it simple and start with your own bodyweight or use one machine or just pick one activity to do consistently.
Tip#2 - Commit to something. The reality is we need personal trainers and group classes to help hold us accountable. So pull the trigger and pre-pay for classes or sessions. If you pay it's more likely that you will attend.
Tip#3 - Give yourself a constant reminder of why you started this journey. So if it's because you want to be able to run a marathon then put a picture of the medal on your refrigerator. Or if you want to be able to keep up with your kids or grandkids put their picture on a mirror. You can even change your screensaver on your phone. The main thing is to have it constantly staring you in the face.
Tip#4 - Take an article of clothing that is too small but the size you want to be and hang it on your closet, bedroom, or bathroom door. Leave it there as a reminder to get moving.
Tip #5 - Set a specific goal and give it a deadline. Tie in the deadline to a special occasion or vacation you have coming up.
